Porter Cable - 3/8 In. 1/4 In. Shank Keyhole Router Bit
Use this bit to route keyhole-shaped mounting slots. Project uses include picture frames and plaques. Also can be used to rout T-slots for miniature jigs and fixtures. Use in handheld and table-mounted routers. Tips For Using This Bit: The tip plunge cuts the hole for the screw or nail head. The smaller-diameter portion of the bit routs a narrower cut to accept the shank of the screw or nail. This cut is made in one pass. Set the plunge cut for the full depth needed. Always plunge to the full depth before moving sideways to complete the keyhole. Never bottom out the router bit in the collet. Leave about 1/8 In. clearance to allow the collet to tighten properly.
